As they eagerly await the arrival of their bundle of joy, pregnant model Chanel Iman, 32, and New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, 28, took a romantic babymoon vacation to Carpi, Italy.
Little did Chanel know that amidst the breathtaking beauty of Capri, a surprise awaited her.
In a whirlwind of romantic bliss, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel found herself swept off her feet by man after he dropped down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. In new photos the model mom shared to Instagram, she captioned, “The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go Capri, Italy.”
Whew! That engagement ring is stunning.
“First of all, I can’t even lie I was nervous ahh hell and I never thought I would be getting down on one knee but LOVE will make you do some amazing things in life,” Davon captioned engagement photos on his Instagram. “Chanel I love you so much and I wouldn’t have rather spend this moment with no one else by my side! From the moment we met I knew it was something about you and how much you value having a FAMILY that was really important to me! We are in this together and will always be, I love you from the bottom of my heart! My love, My fiancé, My everything!! What does not kill us only makes us stronger!!”
The lovebirds went IG official in April 2022 following her divorce from New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard. He filed for divorce in June 2021, but the world didn't find out about it until seven months later.
Sterling and Chanel tied the knot in 2018 and split three years later. Chanel and Sterling’s divorce was finalized earlier this month, days before Chanel and Davon announced their pregnancy.
Sterling and Chanel share two daughters together, Cali, 4, and Cassie, 3. Davon has a 7-year-old son from a previous relationship.
