Big Sean and Ariana Grande are dunzo! Find out the deets on their split and read what Ariana’s father had to say about an alleged Instagram scolding Big Sean’s inside….
Another one bites the dust!
Big Sean and Ariana Grande have decided to break-up less than a year after they started dating. The two hooked up right before “cuffing season,” but, unfortunately for them, they didn’t make it through. Ariana confirmed the two were officially a couple in October 2014.
Both of their reps have confirmed their uncoupling to US magazine in a joint statement saying the two have called it quits but still remain good friends. The statement reads,
“They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends. We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."
So what caused the two to head down Splitsville Lane? Well...according to their reps, it had everything to do with conflicting tour schedules.
“They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year."
Hmph. We can't help but wonder if the straw that broke the camel's back came when Justin Bieber was all over Ariana during a concert performance recently. You'll recall, the Internet was abuzz after photoshopped Twitter responses popped up online supposedly of Big Sean poppin' off at Bieber. The supposed Twitter responses turned out to be fake, but that still doesn't mean the G.O.O.D. rapper felt some type of way about it.
And then there's these tweets from the former couple. About three weeks ago Big Sean tweeted this cryptic message:
Just know I love u and I care for ya
— Big Sean (@BigSean) April 4, 2015
Ariana followed up with:
love u babes
— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) April 5, 2015
Speaking of their relationship....
A few days ago, Big Sean posted up a flick of himself with the caption “I give her that D... #Detroit.”
Soon after posting, a comment popped up in his comment section which appeared to be Ariana Grande's dad Edward Butera!
The comment read, "that D. better be Detroit Sean” Bloop!
Well, it appears Ariana's dad may be a victim of someone using his likeness on a fake Instagram page. Since the IG drama, Ariana's dad has confirmed that totally wasn’t him. Via his Twitter account he tweeted:
That is an imposter on Instagram.
— Edward Butera (@CaptainEddieB) April 18, 2015
Also, Ariana’s publicist confirmed to E! News that the Instagram account was fake and that he did not write that comment in the Detroit rapper’s comment section. Well there you have it. We're sure his dad agrees with the comment, but it doesn't look like he has to worry about the "D" any longer.
