Jeezy is making fitness look hella good. See flicks from his Peachtree run with Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. In other news, Yara Shahidi and her mom Keri Shahidi hosted an empowering breakfast talk in NYC recently. Get it all inside...
Rapper Jeezy recently revealed he has dropped a total of 60lbs and has adopted a much healthier lifestyle. And the fruits of his labor are definitely shining through.
Hey, Zaddddy!
Now, he's taking his fitness fandom to help raise money for charity.
To celebrate the 4th of July, the "Thug Motivation" rapper teamed up with Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, along with 60,000 runners and walkers for the largest 10K in the world - the 49th annual AJC Preachtree Road Race!
It was Jeezy's first 10K run and he was super excited about it because not only was he doing something he loves to do (run), he also raised money for three youth charities, including his Street Dreamz Foundation, the mayor's Youth Scholarship Program and Atlanta Track Club's Kilometer Kids program. Nice!
"This is my first 10K, so I just want to make sure that I’m going into it 100 percent," he told GQ. "I talked to some people, but to be honest, I’ve been training for this since the day I decided to get myself in order."
"If I hadn't started working six to seven years ago, as far as eating right and getting my body right, I don’t think this is a conversation we'd be having," he said. "Even back then, I was training for something like this. I like to put myself in a position where I have to produce."
Jeezy finished the run in a hour. Not too shabby for a man who turns 41 in September.

Breakfast with Yara Shahidi and her mom Keri Shahidi!
The "Grown-ish" starlet and her gorgeous/intelligent mother hosted a breakfast with a few fans for the #AerieREAL girl talk session inside the brand's NYC store.
The mother-daughter duo appeared in Aerie's #AerieReal Role Model prgram campaign to empower women. The campaign featured the brand ambassador starring along her own role model: her mother, and it was released just in time's for Mother's Day.
For the morning event, the Shahidi ladies sat on a panel with ELLE.com Style Director Nikki Ogunnaike and TV personality Lola Ogunnaike for some good old fashioned real talk about everything: Social media, motherhood, self-care, sisterhood, and to how we keep it real and stay grounded during these very trying times.
After the chat, Yara, her mom, Lola and Nikki snapped it up with fans:
Loves it. Must be nice being able to work with your twin-mom for the day.
