The legendary Angela Bassett is getting a wax figure by Madame Tussauds and she takes us behind the scenes. We’re praying it’s not another fail. More inside….
It’s about time!
The iconic Angela Bassett will be getting the wax figure treatment at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. And we’ve got a behind-the-scenes look.
The 61-year-old actress – known for her roles in films like What’s Love Got To Do With It & Waiting To Exhale – hopped on Instagram to tip her fans off that she was about to do something she “never dreamed" would have happened to her.
Then, the fun kicked off:
The "9-1-1" actress wanted to be sure she captured the behind-the-scenes moments to share with her fans, so she first put up a video of her hand casting.
Then, she got uber glammed up in a sparkly red sequin pantsuit and several up several model worthy poses:
Yassss!
Of course, measurements of her face had to be done in hopes of creating the perfect wax figure:
The Malcolm X actress followed up with flicks and videos of her "sitting" for her wax figure as they measured her body to capture her essence:
At the end of her shoot, Angela snapped it up with Madame Tussauds staff members and she also served up her signature for the figure:
Let's PRAY they do Angela Bassett some justice because this Beyonce wax figure (here) and this Nicki Minaj figure (here) just weren't it.
A new season of "9-1-1" (that Angela also executive produces) premieres this spring.
