Throughout the season, whenever the Chiefs won a game, David would sponsor the adoption fee for a dog at the shelter. Days before playing in the Super Bowl, David contacted KC Pet Project and told them he would sponsor over 100 pets after they win the Super Bowl!
In three days, 88 pets were adopted:

His kind gesture is having a ripple effect. Chef Rachael Ray has decided to offer FREE pet food for the rest of the year to every one of the animals that get adopted.

Sweet!
BONUS:
Speaking of dogs, Ruby - a chocolate Lab in Charlotte - was stolen from her owner’s vehicle. Days later, cops recovered the pup and returned her to her owner! And their reunion is the cutest thing you'll see all day!

During the Chiefs' Super Bowl parade, a car plowed through barriers and led cops on a chase. Lordt. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the celebration parade continued following the incident.
