It’s long been rumored Erykah Badu works with some sort of sorcery when it comes to men. Now, she’s sharing some of her “superpower” to the masses via vagina scented incense. If this is what you need. Deets inside…
Legend has it, Erykah Badu has magical powers that reside between her thighs and she’s now about to share her “superpowers” with the masses. Listen, she does get all the menz and seems to have them open after they break up.
“There’s an urban legend that my pussy changes men,” the “Bag Lady” singer told 10 magazine in her cover story. “The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
The four-time Grammy winner has been romantically linked to Grammy/Oscar winner Common, and she has had children with Outkast rapper Andre 3000, west coast rapper The D.O.C. and producer Jay Electronica. While in relationships with these men, people noticed sudden changes that had them believing the Queen of Neo-Soul put it on them…quite heavy.
Now, her fans can get a whiff of her “superpower” that seemingly drives the men wild.
The 48-year-old soulful songstress is gearing up to release her own vagina incense via her online store, Badu World Market, taking a page from Gwyneth Paltrow’s blueprint. The actress released a $75 “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle and it quickly sold out. Ms. Badu plans to do the same thing when her vagina icense is released via her online store that opens February 20th.
The “Tyrone” singer worked with a slew of collaborators for items to fill her online store, including bespoke clothing and accessories, as well as apothecary goods and traditional music merch. As for her most shocking item – yes, she’s selling incense called Badu Pussy and it smells like her vagina...literally.
“I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them,” she explained. “Even the ash is part of it.”
After she quit wearing panties a while back, she had no problem burning her panties for profit.
“The people deserve it!,” she said.
Although she has come to the defense of embattled celebs like R. Kelly and Bill Cosby, she believes the #METOO movement is necessary.
“It is an issue that has been ignored for many centuries," she said. "As long as we’ve known about the history of the Earth, we’ve seen a caveman dragging a woman by the hair. It’s a necessary thing.”
When she’s not creating music and working on building her empire, Erykah is working as a doula, helping to bring new life into the world.
Now, she takes three clients a year, including, in 2018, the free-spirited model and Fenty Beauty poster girl Slick Woods. (“It was beautiful,” Badu said. “She’s so willing to grow and learn and be initiated into motherhood.”) She hopes to open a birthing centre in Dallas one day, too.
Is there ever a conflict between her music and the doula work? “It’s kind of the same thing,” Badu replied. “The creating of it, the respecting of it, the silence that I offer it. There’s not a lot of talking. There’s more just feeling and flowing, appearing and disappearing when you’re needed. As a doula you kind of have to be, like Bruce Lee said, like water, and able to fit in any container.”
Nice!
So, will you be burning Erykah Badu's vagina scented incense?
