"BOOMERANG" is coming back!
Last night, BET Networks celebrated the season two premiere of its Lena Waithe and Halle Berry executive produced show "BOOMERANG," starring Tequan Richmond, Tetona Jackson, Lala Milan, Dime Davis, Leland B. Martin and RJ Walker in LA.
Martin Lawrence starred in the original 1992 romantic drama alongside Halle Berry, Eddie Murphy, Robin Givens, Grace Jones, David Alan Grier and more. The movie is a staple in the black community and if you haven't seen it, folks may side-eye you and wonder how you still ahve your black card.
The Hollywood OG was on the scene to celebrate the show's second season.

Following the success of Lena Waithe’s BOOMERANG first season, the half-hour subversive, smart, serialized comedy that is fielded by romance, friendship, gender politics and more is back for another round.
The original cast are back to deal with the ramifications of Simone and Bryson’s breakup and how it effects the group’s friendship. Throughout the season, each of our main characters: Simone (Tetona Jackson), Bryson (Tequan Richmond), Crystal (Brittany Inge), Ari (Leland Martin), Tia (Lala Milan) and David (RJ Walker) look inward to find out who they truly are while discovering that together, they’re growing apart. Guest stars for season two will include Jaleel White, Joey Bada$$, Walter Emmanuel Jones and Kim Wayans.

"Love Is Blind" lovebirds Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed made their way to the premiere to peep the new season. The couple has been all over both coasts since "Love Is Blind" wrapped up on Netflix.

Deadline reveals:
Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions have set Angeli Millan (The Cleveland Show, Us and Them, The Muppets) and Dime Davis (A Black Lady Sketch Show, The Chi) as co-showrunners. Davis, who also worked on the show’s freshman season, directed four of the eight episodes while Tiffany Johnson (Dear White People, Black Monday, Twenties) and Katrelle N. Kindred will direct two episodes each. Kindred was brought on by Davis and is also a member of ViacomCBS’s ViewFinder Emerging TV Directors Program. Boomerang marks her TV directorial debut.
We love to see it.
