It seems Megan Thee Stallion has some new music for her hotties, but her record label is pumping the breaks on her releasing it. And the hotties are ready to ride out!
The FEVER rapper revealed on IG Live that her record label, 1501 Entertainment, is NOT allowing her to release new music after she asked to renegotiate her contract. The Head Hottie wants to release new bops off of her forthcoming album, SUGA, but apparently there’s some drama behind-the-scenes and it has been going on for some time now.
In the IG Live, Meg explained when she signed her management deal with Roc Nation, they brought certain details about her original contract with 1501 to light. She said signed her record deal with 1501 when she was 20 (she’s 25 now) and claims she didn’t understand what was written in the contract.
The “WTF I Want” rapper said she wasn’t looking to leave the label, however, she did want to renegotiate her contract, and that’s when all hell broke loose.
"Soon as I said, 'I want to renegotiate my contract,' everything went left. It all went bad. It all went left. So now they tellin' a b*tch she can't drop no music. It's really just, like, a greedy game."

Carl Crawford - CEO & founder of 1501 Entertainment/ex MLB star - hopped on Instagram to respond, although he didn't directly address Megan. He shared a picture of himself alongside J. Prince - CEO of Houston-based Rap-A-Lot Records - with the caption:
"At a time when loyalty is at an all time low it’s nice to be link with @jprincerespect who is steady teaching me how to move in this cutthroat industry," he wrote. "And I know that terrifies some especially the ones who double cross me."
Oh wow.
