Big Sean gets candid on his new track “Deep Reverence” and it features late rapper Nipsey Hussle. He gets deep about losing a baby and how Nip inspired Sean to squash his "beef" with Kendrick Lamar. Listen to the track inside…
Lyrics in Big Sean's newest song are giving insight into the usually quiet-about-his-personal-life rapper's private life. And it's something we weren't expecting to hear.
Midway through the 4-minute track "Deep Reverence," Big Sean raps, "Should be a billionaire based on the time off I'm not taking / Probably why the s--t around me get crazy and we lost the baby."
His fans quickly took to Twitter to ask if what they heard meant he had lost an actual baby, possibly with his current girlfriend Jhene Aiko.
He didn't name check Jhene or any woman, and he hasn't spoken further about the lyrics either.

On the testimonial-themed track (produced by Hit-Boy and G-RY), Nip boasts about his street cred and being a street legend. Meanwhile, Sean shares what led him to squash his beef with west coast rapper Kendrick Lamar.
Nipsey’s tragic and sudden death inspired Sean to hit up Kendrick (who featured on Sean’s 2013 track “Control) so they could hash out their differences.
He raps:
“After what happened to Nipsey, I reached out to Kendrick / It wasn’t even no real issues there to begin with / Lack of communication and wrong information from people / Fueled by the ego is like mixing flames with diesel.”
Delving deeper into his personal life, Sean shares how he contemplated suicide at one point in his life.
“In high school I learned chemistry, biology / But not how to cope with anxiety / Or how I could feel like I’m by myself on an island / With depression on all sides of me / With a Glock 17 right on the side of me / Look, I ain’t think I had the thought of suicide in me / Until life showed me all these different sides of me.”
Deep.
