Cardi B opens up for the first time since she filed for divorce about her uncoupling from her husband Offset. Find out her reasons why she decided to pull the plug inside….
Cardi B has something to say about her divorce from Offset.
Ever since news broke that Cardi pulled the plug on her marriage to Offset, rumors about why she decided to leave have been circulating. PEOPLE reported the “WAP” rapper called it quits after she allegedly caught him cheating again. Also, there have been unconfirmed rumors going around that the Migos rapper about one of his side chicks pregnant.
Now, the Grammy Award winning artist is addressing all of the drama, speaking out for the first time since she filed for divorce. Fans were waiting for a response from Bardi being that she has always kept them in the loop via social media when headlines get crazy.
During an Instagram Live stream, the 27-year-old let her fans know she’s OKAY and that she’s not hurt about ending her almost three-year marriage to her daughter’s father. She said she hasn’t shed a tear since filing.
"I want to say thank you so much. However, like, I don't really need it,” she said. “I'm okay. I want to let you know I have not shed not one tear [since filing for divorce].”
Despite what these Internet streets are assuming, the “Be Careful” rapper said she did NOT file for divorce because Offset cheated. Folks in her camp said the same previously.
“Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so f*cked up and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always sad because I don’t like that type of sh*t,” she continued. “This time, I wasn’t crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that sh*t that ever happened before. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f*cking complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bullsh*t.”
The first time it was speculated that Offset got a chick pregnant was when famed thottie Celina Powell, whose claim to fame is messing around with rappers and posting about it on Instagram, hopped on social media with claims that she was carrying his baby. It wasn’t true, per usual.

So what’s the real reason Cardi filed for divorce? She said she was just “tired of f*cking arguing” and realized it was best that she ended their marriage.
“I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye,” Cardi said. “When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave.”
She continued:
“Nothing crazy out of this world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart. I been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man…sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments and the build up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave.”
The Invasion of Privacy rapper filed for divorce from Offset on September 15th after almost three years of marriage.
When the “Bodak Yellow” rapper first filed for divorce, she requested primary custody as well as legal custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus. She also requested child support, but no amount was specified. And she wanted the Migos rapper to pay her legal expenses.
Soon after, she had the divorce petition amended after learning her attorneys originally requested primary physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture, for her. She has amended her child support request.
“She went back to have the petition amended because she wasn’t aware that it read ‘primary custody.’ She wants them both to have custody and to co-parent. She’s not requesting spousal support or child support. She wants everything to be super amicable,” a source told Page Six.
Bardi wants her split from Offset to be as unproblematic as possible. Hopefully that happens.
