Jacob Blake Shares Message Of Positivity From Hospital Bed, Pleads NOT Guilty To Sexual Assault Charges

Jacob Blake – the Kenosha man who was left paralyzed after being shot in the back multiple times by police – speaks out for the first time from his hospital bed. He delivered some positive messages to the masses. Also, the 29-year-old appeared in court virtually to plead NOT guilty to sexual assault charges. Everything inside…

Jacob Blake – the Kenosha man who was shot several times in the back by a police officer last month – issued a public message for the very first time since the shooting incident. He called on his supporters to “stick together” and to not take life for granted because it can be taken away from you in an instant.

"I just want to say, to all the young cats out there and even the older ones, there’s a lot more life to live out here man," he said in a video as he laid in a hospital bed. “Your life, and not only just your life, your legs… can be taken from you like this," he said.

As a result of the shooting Jacob was paralyzed from the waist down. He shared he has staples in his stomach, his back, and experiences pain 24 hours a day. It’s hard to eat, breathe and sleep.

"You do not want to have to deal with this," he said. "Please I'm telling you change your lives out there. We can stick together, make some money, make everything easier for our people."

This is the first time the public has heard from the father-of-six following the shooting incident that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. On August 23rd, a white police officer shot Jacob multiple times in the back after officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The shooting was captured on video and instantly went viral.

On Friday...

Jacob made a court appearance from his hospital bed (via Zoom) to plead not guilty on criminal charges filed against him prior to the August 23rd shooting incident. The local commissioner felt there was enough evidence to send the matter to trial.

As we previously told you, Jacob was charged with third-degree sexual assault, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct back in July. A former female friend accused him of breaking into her home while she was sleep and assaulting her back in May. He allegedly took her car and debit car after the assault and then fled the scene.

The Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office confirmed these were the charges Jacob was wanted for at the time of the August 23rd shooting. Wisconsin's Attorney-General Josh Kaul said police officers were at the woman’s address after she reported "her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises".

As a result of the shooting, raging protests sparked in Kenosha. A 17-year-old white kid was taken into custody for fatally shooting two Black Lives Matters protestors and injuring another. He has been charged with with first-degree homicide in that case.
