2020 has surely been doozy.
Last month, it was revealed famed comedian Sinbad, whose real name is David Adkins, suffered a stroke. His family made the announcement on his Instagram page, informing his fans he was on the road to recovery and very optimistic about getting back to his normal way of life.
“It is out of sincere love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke,” his family said in a statement. “Sinbad is a light source of love and joy for many generations. While he is beginning his road to recovery, we are faithful and optimistic that he will bring laughter into our hearts soon. Our family thanks you in advance for your love and support and ask for continued prayers for his healing. We also ask that you please respect our privacy during this time.’ Thank you.”
Fast forward three weeks….
The children of the 64-year-old comedian - Royce & Paige - posted a video on behalf of the Adkins family to update fans on his condition.
The "Rel" actor's kids shared a person message from their dad to his fans:
“I have seen first hand how hard our medical workers are working during COVID and cannot stress enough how much we must appreciate them. We can show this appreciation by simply wearing a mask.”
”Thank God for everything He’s given you, even if it’s not everything you asked for. Thank God for family and hug the ones you love while you’re still with them. We need each other to get through this journey. “
”I can’t wait to see you all again soon. As always, stay funky, stay prayed up!”
