Word on the curb is that Tim Tebow is making an NFL return after not playing in the league since 2012. Fans are outraged the white former QB is getting a job before Colin Kaepernick. Deets inside…

The sports world is in a frenzy after news broke that Tim Tebow would likely be making a return to the NFL. Fans are PISSED the former white quarterback is getting an NFL job while Colin Kaepernick still remains sidelined.

According to reports, Tim Tebow is expected to sign a one-year contract with his hometown Jacksonville Jaguars soon. The 33-year-old, a former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, will make a comeback as a tight end.

"The #Jaguars are planning to sign QB-turned-TE Tim Tebow to a 1-year deal, per me and @TomPelissero, a deal that could be official in the next week or so. Nothing done yet. But he'll have a chance to make the team to reunite with his mentor and college head coach Urban Meyer," tweeted NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.

Oh, but get this. Tebow will be returning to the NFL to play tight end, a position he NEVER played in high school, college or his previous three-year NFL career, according to ESPN.

If he signs, he’ll reunite with head coach Urban Meyer after winning two college football national championships while at Florida in 2006 and 2008.

Tebow played with the New York Jets during his final regular season game in the NFL before he was hired by ESPN as a college football analyst in 2013. In 2015, he signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles as a third string quarterback. He played all four pre-season games before he was released before the regular season.

Fans have been sounding off on the fact Tim Tebow could possibly be given a job and Colin Kaepernick still hasn’t been picked up by a team. Some say it’s giving “racism” and “white privilege.” As you know, Kaepernick was blackballed from the league after he took a knee during the National Anthem in 2016 to bring awareness to police brutality and social injustice.

Peep the outrage below:

In 2019, Colin trekked it to Atlanta for an NFL workout with wide receiver Antonio Brown. No NFL team picked him up, but he has been putting in work behind the scenes. The former NFL QB is releasing a new book about the abolition of policing and prisons.

TMZ reports:

The book -- titled "Abolition for the People: The Movement for a Future Without Policing & Prisons" -- is set to drop in October and features 30 essays, including one from Colin himself.

Colin also served as editor on the project -- which we're told will be available in hard copy, audio book and e-book.

“The omnipresent threat of premature death at the hands, knees, chokeholds, tasers, and guns of law enforcement has only further engrained its anti-Black foundation into the institutions of policing," Kaepernick states. "In order to eradicate anti-Blackness, we must also abolish the police. The abolition of one without the other is impossible."

One person familiar with the book says the conversation Colin wants to have with his readers is essentially this ... how do we reimagine and reenvision keeping communities safe without a militarized police presence?
