Nick Cannon Reveals How He's Dealing With The Sad Death Of His & Alyssa Scott's 5-Month Old Son, Calls Alyssa A Hero

The incredibly sad news of the recent death of Nick Cannon's youngest child shocked us all.  Now, the talk show host is thanking everyone for their support after revealing the health battle of his 5-month old, Zen, before he passed away, why he went back to work days later and why he calls Zen's mom, Alyssa, a super hero.

Losing a child is unimaginable, and Nick Cannon has been on the air of his new talk how this week - just days after his 5-month-old son Zen passed away, explaining why he needs to feel to heal.

Baby Zen was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus (an abnormal buildup of fluid in the ventricles deep within the brain that causes pressure on the surrounding brain tissue) at just 2 months.  It was then that he and Alyssa Scott found out this was a result of a brain tumor.

Nick told his audience on "The Nick Cannon Show" yesterday:

"Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus.

....

He always had this real interesting breathing and by the time he was 2 months old I noticed... he had a nice-sized head—I call it a Cannon head, all my kids got really nice round heads. But I really wanted to take him to the doctor to get the breathing and the sinus things checked out, so we thought it would be a routine process."

On today's show, Nick thanked his audience, friends and fans for their outpouring of love and support during this impossible time.  He says you have to feel to heal, and he's absolutely right.

He also made his "Pic of the Day" segment a tribute to Zen's mother, Alyssa, saying she's a super hero with how she dealt with it all:

Zen was Nick's 7th child, and Alyssa first revealed that they were expecting with maternity pics earlier this year:

Absolutely heartbreaking.

Our condolences go out to Nick, Alyssa and their families during this extremely sad and impossible time.
