Gymnast Simone Biles is still reeling from her Valentine’s Day time proposal perfectly orchestrated by her now-fiancé Jonathan Owens.
On Tuesday (Feb. 15th), the 24-year-old Olympic gymnast announced her engagement to 26-year-old boyfriend, who is a defensive back for the Houston Texans. The NFL player had everything planned out to get down on one knee in a gazebo in Houston.

In the clip, Simone asked Jonathan, “Did you asked my dad?,” in which he confirmed he did. We love it.
Days after the proposal, Simone is still backflipping over it all.
The loved up couple appeared on “TODAY” this week where they revealed they’re already in the early stages of planning their dream wedding. And we’re totally not mad at it.
After the proposal, Simone had to hope on flight, but she revealed she and Jonathan have already started planning their ceremony over the phone.
”It's still in the process,” she said, adding, "I'm sure we'll do a lot of that today."
In Simone’s VOGUE August 2020 cover story, she revealed she and her ex-boyfriend/wrestler Stacey Ervin Jr. had called it quits back in early March 2020. By August 2020, Simone started dating Jonathan after initially meeting through Instagram. The COVID-19 pandemic allowed them to spend a lot of time together since both of their careers were put on pause due everyone being on lockdown.
"Since it was kind of a COVID relationship, we were with each other 24/7," Simone shared. "So, I feel like now when we're not with each other, it's almost weird. We're always calling or texting each other. It's kind of gross in a way."
For the proposal, the 26-year-old NFL baller called up celebrity jeweler Zo Frost for an epic assist. Jonathan “handpicked” Simone's engagement ring, which features a center stone made up of 3 carat oval diamond with an encrusted band.
While Simone has been dubbed the most decorated gymnast of all time, her most prized possession is her engagement ring!
"It's definitely my most prized possession now and I'm always wearing it. ... It definitely beats a gold medal," the gymnast responded. It’s her Mose prized possession and she never wants to take it off unless she absolutely has to.
"I had to wash my hair the other day, and I took it off just in case; I didn't know if it was gonna get caught or anything. I have to ask my mom like, 'When do you take it off? Do you ever take it off?' but it definitely beats a gold medal."
The V-Day proposal was a total surprise for Simone.
”I thought it might happen this year, but definitely not on Valentine's Day. So that's why it was such a shock," Simone explained. "The way he set everything up was just so seamless."
"She thought it was a normal day," Jonathan added.
